“Ranong Tea” originated from a Thai-Chinese family business in 1985, led by Mr. Wiwat Chaiwatanamethin, a certified pharmacist who graduated from Chulalongkorn University’s Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences in 1972 and Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University’s Faculty of Traditional Thai Medicine in 2007. Inspired by a keen interest in traditional Thai herbs and medicines, the well-known pharmacist introduced natural herbal tea of the “Thevi” brand to the public about 32 years ago. However, using herbs was not really popular at that time and only the elderly appeared to have had a sufficient interest in the product.

          In 1999, Green Tea Ltd., Part. was established under the “Promoting Thai Herbs to the World” concept to elevate the value of traditional Thai herbs that could be mixed as healthy drinks as well as inheriting the wisdom of Thai ancestors for the future. Among the initially introduced products, “Mulberry Tea” was developed with a very unique formula to attract healthy people, ensuring that it could effectively reduce fat in blood vessels (cholesterol), minimize blood sugar levels (diabetes), and maintain healthy blood pressure. This health-focused phenomenon helped push forward the emergence of the “Ranong Tea” brand of mulberry tea.     

          Inspired by the success of the aforementioned concept, we are currently renowned for being Thailand’s first and largest manufacturer, distributor, and exporter of mulberry tea products. For the highest satisfaction of consumers, our quality product has been developed in three competitive forms, varying in tea leaf, tea powder, and tea sachets.

          We are fully committed to advancing our production monitoring and quality control by strictly pursuing the Codex Alimentarius, a collection of internationally recognized standards, codes of practice, guidelines, and other recommendations relating to food, food production, and food safety, including GMP, HACCP, and BRC & HALAL. Our quality products are 100% supervised at every production process under a closed system, starting from obtaining the raw materials to them ending up as finished products.

          We currently possess about 80% of sales in the country as our products are diversely distributed via strategic marketing channels, for instance, department stores, supermarkets, wholesale shops, and food restaurants. Another 20% of our distribution volume is maintained by exports under the “Ranong Tea” brand, available in Europe, the USA, Australia, and Asia.


          We have transformed into Green Tea Co., Ltd. in 2015 to support the larger expansion of herbal beverage products that are currently available at around 11,200 shops in Thailand and over 25 countries around the world, covering consumers of all ages. Our best-selling products vary in mulberry tea, green tea, ginger juice, coffee drinks, instant beverages, and dietary supplements, which have gained huge popularity among health focused consumers. It is widely accepted that herbal products can genuinely be the best alternative for excellent health.
